The “BOTTEGA D’ARTE” is located in the heart of Florence, where master craftsmen of the past taught the Art of restoration, lacquering and decorating furniture, frames, etc. The BOTTEGA D’ARTE is run by craftsmen who decorate wood in the same way as the master craftsmen of ancient times and still holds the ancient “SECRETS” and “METHODS” of working, such as the preparation of a gesso and egg-white base, the paintings with natural glues and terrae, shellac finishing and patinas with natural waxes. With time the BOTTEGA D’ARTE remained a craftsman’s workshop, with the aim to ensure, forever and at all costs, the production of UNIQUE and ORIGINAL objects.

Accessories are decorated with paints in bright rich colours, are enhanced by details in gold and silver leaf. Our furniture then skilfully given antique effects thanks to the age-old expertise. You can choose the colours you prefer, add your personal touch, a motif, a decoration detail, or customise one of our existing designs.

Our workshop continues to use the most ancient Florentine techniques in the decoration of furniture. We offer you the mastery of our expert craftsmen, carvers, painters and finishers. Each of them has had many years of experience in a city where the aesthetic standards are established by the beauty of the Renaissance. Our craftsmen work with traditional methods: they carve wood, apply gesso, work with natural pigments, shellac and waxes, in such a way as to propose an end product which will last in time. Each piece produced is a unique work of art, skilfully painted by hand and finished with great care and creativity.
